Prep to Sell respects the privacy and security of all images uploaded by customers. This Photo Privacy Policy explains how uploaded photos are used, stored, and protected, and outlines important conditions for using our services.

This policy forms part of our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.

1. Purpose of Uploaded Photos

Photos uploaded to Prep to Sell are used only for the following purposes:

  • Providing personalised home presentation, styling, or preparation advice

  • Assessing your property in order to prepare a quote or deliver an agreed service

We do not use customer-uploaded photos for marketing, advertising, social media, testimonials, or public display unless you provide separate, explicit written consent.

2. Confidentiality & Secure Handling

We treat all uploaded photos as confidential.

  • Access to photos is limited to what is reasonably required to deliver our services

  • Photos are stored using secure, industry-standard systems

  • Photos are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to complete the service, unless a longer retention period is required by law

We do not sell, rent, or share uploaded photos with third parties for unrelated purposes.

3. Prohibited Content (Important)

To protect privacy, safety, and legal compliance, you must not upload any photos that include:

  • Children or minors

  • Any person who is under 18 years of age

  • Images where children are visible, identifiable, or reasonably identifiable

  • Personal or sensitive information (e.g. mail, documents, ID, family photographs of children)

  • Content that is unlawful, offensive, or infringes the rights of others

If photos containing prohibited content are uploaded, Prep to Sell may, at its discretion:

  • Decline to provide the service

  • Request replacement images

  • Delete the images without notice

Refunds are not guaranteed where services cannot proceed due to prohibited content.

4. Your Responsibility When Uploading Photos

By uploading photos, you confirm and agree that:

  • You have the legal right and authority to upload the images

  • The images do not include children or minors

  • The images do not infringe privacy, copyright, or other legal rights

  • The images comply with this Photo Privacy Policy and all applicable laws

You remain solely responsible for the content of any images you upload.

5. Security Disclaimer

We take reasonable steps to protect uploaded photos. However, no method of online transmission or electronic storage is completely secure.

By uploading photos, you acknowledge that:

  • Absolute security cannot be guaranteed

  • Information shared online is done at your own risk

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Prep to Sell is not liable for unauthorised access, loss, or misuse of uploaded images beyond our reasonable control

  • We are not responsible for images uploaded in breach of this policy

  • Our liability is limited in accordance with our Terms & Conditions

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits rights that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
